The Corner Hotel is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and accessible space for all guests. We understand that every visitor has different needs, and we aim to accommodate them as best we can. Below is key information to help you plan your visit.

Getting Here

Public transport

Train: Richmond Station is just 100 metres from the venue.

• The station has ramps but with a steep gradient, which may be challenging for some wheelchair users.
• Lifts are available only on the opposite side of Hoddle Street from the venue.

Tram: Route 70 tram (Flinders Street to Wattle Park) stops directly in front of the venue at Stop 9.

• Please note: this tram stop is not wheelchair accessible.

Bus: Route 246 bus (Elsternwick to Clifton Hill) stops at Hoddle St & Swan St (350m away).

• This bus service is wheelchair accessible.

Drop off / Pick up

General drop-off & pick-up: Available on either side of the venue.

Uber drop-off zone: Located at the corner of Stewart St & Wangaratta St.

Wheelchair-accessible drop-off & entrance: 19 Botherambo Street, Richmond.

Wheelchair accessible entrance

• The Swan Street entrances have two steps and are not wheelchair accessible.
• For step-free access, please use the Botherambo Street entrance.
• An intercom button is located at this entrance. Press it for assistance, or:
  • Speak to security at the front entrance
  • Call the venue at 03 9427 7300 for entry assistance

Service & Staff Assistance

Our team is here to help and can assist in the following ways:

• Moving tables for better access
• Providing menus in different formats
• Assisting with QR code or physical menu ordering
• Providing ordering assistance cards (available at each bar – see sample here)

• Providing straws
• Helping locate quiet spaces if needed

Proof of Age Requirements

All patrons must provide proof of age upon entry, as required by our liquor licence. Accepted forms of ID include:

• A valid Australian driver’s licence
• A passport
• A proof of age card

Guide Dogs & Service Animals

Guide dogs and service dogs are welcome in the rooftop bar and front bar.
In the bandroom, due to noise and lighting levels, you may prefer to use an alternative aid. If unsure, please contact us before your visit.

Tickets & Entry

Purchasing Tickets

• Available online at cornerhotel.com or by phone through Oztix (1300 762 545).
• If you need assistance with purchasing, please contact the box office.

Companion Cards

• Accepted for all shows.
• Please contact the box office before show day to arrange a companion ticket. You will need to provide your Companion Card number at the time of booking.

E-tickets

• All tickets are digital and will be scanned upon entry.
• You can print your ticket or have it ready on your phone/tablet.
• If you lose access to your ticket, bring an ID, and we can look it up.

Seating for Guests with Limited Mobility

• The bandroom is mostly standing-only, but chairs can be arranged for those who cannot stand for long periods.
• Please email ticketing@cglive.com.au before show day to reserve a chair.

Wheelchair Access & Toilets

• The bandroom is on one level, except for some small viewing steps at the back.
• Accessible toilets are located:
  • Ground floor (next to the female bathroom, near the stage)
  • Rooftop bar (via lift at the rear of the front bar, near the pool table)

Early Entry Requests

If you require early entry to familiarise yourself with the bathrooms, speak to staff on the day of the event. We may be able to accommodate this, depending on the event type.

Lighting & Strobe Effects

• We make every effort to provide signage for strobe lighting at events. However, this may not always be possible.
• If you have concerns about flashing lights, please contact us before your visit.
• The bandroom has low lighting during shows. If you need assistance, let our staff know.

Pass-Outs (Re-entry)

• You may exit and re-enter the bandroom after receiving a stamp.
• For under-18 shows, pass-outs are not allowed (as per our venue licence).
• If your child has specific needs, please contact us before the event to discuss options.

Rooftop Bar & Dining

• Lift access to the rooftop is located at the back of the front bar, near the pool table.
• Tables & Seating: A variety of seating styles are available – contact us if you require specific arrangements.
• Accessible Toilets: Located on the rooftop, and an ambulant toilet available in the female bathroom.
• Legends Lounge Dining Room has three steps at the entrance and is not wheelchair accessible.
• The Beer Garden and City Bar have ramped access

Front Bar & Dining

• • Lift access is available to the rooftop from the front bar.
  • Tables & Seating: Various seating options are available. Contact us to reserve a suitable table.
  • Accessible Toilets: Lift access to the accessible bathroom located on the rooftop, access to accessible bathroom in the band room for ticket holders on show days
